• Position the microphone about 6-12 inches away from the sound source for optimal sound capture.
• Use the cardioid pattern for focused recordings, such as vocals or solo instruments.
• Select the omnidirectional pattern to capture the ambient sound of the room or for group recordings.
• Use the figure-8 pattern for recording duets or interviews, capturing sound from both the front and back.
• Engage the low-frequency roll-off filter to reduce unwanted rumble and achieve a cleaner sound.
• Utilize the -10 dB pad when recording loud sources to prevent distortion.
